Introduction to Novice:

Similar to the Swim Synchro program, the Introduction to Novice program allows young swimmers 5-7 years old to develop basic Synchro concepts through fun and creative play. In addition, during this 15 week program the swimmers will develop a Synchro routine which they will perform at the annual Splash Bash Swim Show.

Tuesday 4:30-5:30pm

Novice:

Our recreational level is designed for swimmers 6 years and older that wish to learn basic Synchro skills but are not yet ready for the commitment required in the competitive program. Swimmers will be tested twice a year for Star awards while they learn and develop a team routine that is performed at the Splash Bash Swim Show.

Sunday 3:00-5:00pm                                       Thursday 4:00-5:30pm
2 hours (6 years and older)                             1.5 hours (10 and under only)

In addition this year, KTSC is excited to be hosting two Novice level meets in Peterborough. All novice swimmers will be registered for both meets.

Novice Masters (Beginner and Intermediate):

A program designed for adults (18+) who want to learn basic synchro skills and perform in the Splash Bash Swim Show.

Monday 6:00-8:00pm

Competitive Masters:

A program for swimmers with some previous synchro experience.  Swimmers will have the opportunity to perform both a Technical and Free Routine at the swim show and in competition (regional, provincial and national).

NOTE: Athletes must be 19 years and older to attend Masters’ National Championships.

Competitive:

While teams are generally age based, the coaches and judges will determine team placement of swimmers. The average age of all swimmers (as of Dec 31, 2011) on the team is used to determine which age group the team competes in. Hours of swimming is based on the average age of the team as a whole and not the individual age of the swimmer.

Competitive Duets:

Swimmers aged 13 & over (by Dec. 31, 2011) may choose to swim in a duet with a swimmer within their age group.

Competitive Solos:

Swimmers aged 13 & over (by Dec. 31, 2011) may choose to swim a solo.

12 & Under Solos and Duets:

Athletes who are 12 years old and under (born in 1999 or later) may choose to swim a solo or duet for the 12 & Under Trillium Championships in June.

Swim Show Routines:

Novice and competitive swimmers may choose to swim a solo/ duet/ trio for the Splash Bash Swim Show in addition to their team routine.

Extra Figures Practices:

Competitive swimmers wanting extra figures practice may make arrangements to do so through the Head Coach, who will arrange an appropriate coach for the swimmer.  Extra figures practices will be semi-private or private lessons and are available at a cost of $15/ hour (payable to the club in advance of the lesson).
