Synchro Swimmers on Podium

Kawartha Trent Synchro Club's competitive tier 1, 2 and four teams attended the recent Waterloo Regional Invitational Meet and all came away with top 10 finishes.
In the tier one team event, swimmers Sydney Andrew, Charlotte Bedlington, Richelle Demers, Sydney Hawthorne, Nicole Hicks-Casey and Abbie Lombardo placed fourth. The team is coached by Amanda Roberts and Megan Feige. Roberts was pleased with the outcome, “This is the first time these girls have been in a competitive meet and they really performed well! We're so proud of them!”
In the largest event of the day, Tier 2 teams, KTSC's team of Ellen Jamieson, Morgann Kirk, Audrey Masse, Emma MacDonald, Christa Plumley, Katelyn Wingett and Emily Vance placed 9 th . This group is coached by Tracey Leeson and Kassie Bosnell. “This is a good start to the season. We have the potential for this team to move up the standings. There are lots of positives to build on” said Leeson.
In the Tier 4 team event, Caitlin Flynn, Carley Shewen, Kaileigh van den Berg, Leah Varden and Alisa Woods finished in 8 th place. This group is coached by Holly Bosnell. “The girls had a good start to their routine. We will work over the next month to prepare for Eastern Regional Trials.”
Kawartha Trent Synchro is now kicking off the heavy part of the competitive season. Recreational swimmers have a figures meet in Port Hope next weekend, Tier 1 – 4 swimmers are now preparing for East Regional Trials in Ottawa and the Tier 6 Team will be at Eastern Canadian Divisionals in Etobicoke next month.
