KTSC Team on Podium

Kawartha Trent Synchro Club's tier 6 team placed fourth at the first competitive meet of the 2007 season. The team of Megan Feige, Danielle Gibson, Laura Henderson, Christine Creelman, Claire Burnard and Katie Giles finished fourth at Ontario 's Provincial Trials held in Guelph , January 15th . The team is coached by Kim Mitchell and assisted by Catherine Hoggarth. Mitchell was pleased with the outcome, “We were pleased with our placing and look forward to challenging for a medal at the Provincial Championships in February. I'm really proud of the girls. We have two on the team that have not competed at this level before and they responded very well. The team faces a one point penalty at each meet for having less than eight swimmers so finishing in 4th gives us a great starting place”.

The Tier 6 team is working towards competing at Espoir Nationals in St. John , New Brunswick , their next competition is Provincial Championships in Etobicoke in February. Kawartha Trent Synchro Club's Tier 1 – 4 teams are preparing for the Waterloo Regional Invitational meet and recreational swimmers will be competing at a figures meet in Port Hope in February.
